- I am a self-employed engineering consultant. I am also a writer, photographer, former ski instructor and former jump plane pilot. I follow the stock and commodities market very closely. I am also very interested in religion, especially why people do strange things in the name of their religion. As an atheist, I have a hard time trying to understand the power of religion, since it is so totally irrational. As Einstein said in one of his last written letters "The word god is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honorable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. No interpretation no matter how subtle can (for me) change this."
